Hi Everyone,
We are on our way to Cincinnati for the Executive Board Meeting. Some of you might want to know what it is like going to Cincinnati in the month of February. Well it’s like this, there were beautiful waterfalls that had frozen and there were giant icicles cascading down the rock walls on the side of the highway yesterday. That is one thing that is great about motor homing; there is always something you haven’t seen before around the next corner.
The “Under the Big Top Rally” was fun for us. We always have fun at Indio, California. We met up with lots of old friends and volunteered, working security. The area is especially beautiful with the mountains rising from the desert floor. I had a great time meeting with members of the Beaver, Roadtrek and Singles International chapters. The vendors were treated to a great party put on by the Southwestern Busnuts.
After the Western Rally, we stopped for a rally with the Beaver Ambassador Club in Quartzsite. We always meet a lot of FMCA members at the Big RV Show in Quartzsite. We got to visit with a couple of friends from Colorado that we met when we attended our first FMCA rally in Minden, Nebraska.
We traveled across the U.S. to Florida to attend the SEA Rally,” Salutes the Military.”. It was a great rally to meet a lot of veterans who attended the Military Chapter get together where there were about 150 attendees. I visited the Roadtrek, Singles, International, Safaris and the Foretravel groups where we enjoyed meeting Paul and his wife Pixy. Robert and I went to the Vendor’s Chapter meeting and as they elected new officers.
After leaving Cincinnati, I will be heading back to Tucson for our Tucson Fiesta. Hope to see you there. It is a sell out and going to be a great time for all.
Hope to see you all in Gillette, Wyoming for the 88th Family Reunion Rally, to celebrate FMCA’s 50th anniversary. Don’t forget, you can win $1050 by guessing how many jelly beans are in the jar and get to meet the new FMCA mascot, Sheldon. It is going to be one big party!
